Cambs County Council to launch new Isolation Support Service

From Monday 18th January Cambridgeshire County Council are launching the Covid-19 Isolation Support Service. This is to help support those residents who have either had a positive test for Covid-19 or who have been in close contact with someone who has.

The team will focus on making phone contact during the 10 day isolation period. During the phone call they will be checking they are self isolating, stressing the importance of doing so and offering support and guidance through the network of district and city support hubs to help them. The quicker we can reach people who are at risk of spreading the virus to support them to isolate, the quicker we can break the chain of infection.

If the team are unable to make initial contact by phone they will then try either email, text message or letter asking the user to get in touch with us.

Initially the team will be focusing on priority areas, such as those residents who have had a positive test, rather than all those passed to us via Test & Trace.

A web page has been set up which will also give more information about what the team are doing by following this link https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/coronavirus/coronavirus-covid-19-test-and-trace#isolation-support-service-5-0 There will also be some supporting posts across our social media channels to help people realise these are genuine calls and that they may receive one.

Kind regards

Sue Grace
