Hub awarded the Good to Go: Good Governance mark.
We are very excited to have been awarded the Good to Go: Good Governance mark by Hunts Forum. This mark ensures that organisations are well run with a good level of internal governance, financial control, management and data protection. Hunts Forum has seen our policies, interviewed us, and then a panel has reviewed the evidence and granted us the mark. Hunts Forum said, 'Congratulations on achieving the Good to Go: Good Governance mark. This is a real achievement.'

The Hemingford Hoppa Bus
Hemingford Grey Parish Council has agreed to co-opt a Councillor on to the Hub’s Transport Committee and Abbots Parish Council is considering the Hub’s proposal to invite a Councillor to join this Committee. Once the Transport Committee is formed the project will start to take shape with an initial survey to test the potential usage of such a service. If you have an interest in driving this essential bus project forward please let the Hub know. We have room for more on board.

New Trustees
Our new trustees are bedding in, and they will shortly be joined by other nominees. This will ensure the long-term viability of the Hub as we grow to meet the needs of our community. If you would like to be considered as a Trustee, please contact us. We are happy to explain the responsibilities (not too arduous) at a social event later in the year.

Social Prescribing on your doorstep
The local NHS Social Prescribing Team is looking to establish a monthly session in the Hemingfords where residents can come for confidential advice on anything that falls into the category of help and support or worries about getting out and about — any non-medical issues that are causing concern. They will also arrange home visits if getting out is a problem. We will let you know more when this is set up.

A home for the HubShed
Gareth Evans and his team are getting closer to finding a home for the Shed! If you have a large outbuilding or barn suitable for conversion to a workshop, or a suitable small piece of land where we could build a shed, Gareth would love to hear from you on: 07836 279932
